Our Commute

Getting started in the morning for our little Russian commute...or should I say night!!

Boots, our coats, gloves, a hat and scarf and we are off. Slushing through the snow. They start shoveling snow about 6:00 a.m. So you don't really need an alarm clock. The scraping sound is sufficient. This picture was taken at about 7:30 a.m. Today as we were traveling through a little wooded area Chris was startled by a "pack" of dogs that were approaching us. There were four buddies doing what dogs do when they are following each other. They never gave us a second look!! It is still warm. The cold weather is really six weeks away, according to the natives. It has been just about 5 degrees below freezing for about a week now. The temperature hardly ever moves.

Tomorrow we are going to Red Square! Our first touristy thing to do. We are going with the Prices. We will be sure to take plenty of pictures!
