Back from Tallinn: Visa Renewal

We got back today from Tallinn. We have new visas and are ready to go for another 90days. We will back in the office tomorrow. It was as cold in Tallinn as it was in Moscow. Snowed in both places. Spring where are you!! It was back to below freezing today. This time we took the train both ways...30 hours total. They kept waking us up last night. The first time was to offer us water at about 11:00 p.m. We had just nodded off to sleep after our two one hour border checks. Then they came back just as we were nodding off again. This time the steward was upset because we had moved to a different compartment(we had already been approved to move rooms, because they couldn't get the russian rock 'n roll station to turn off). As it turned out she was upset because she thought we had used linens and pillows from both compartments. We hadn't. Of course our lack of language skills only escalated the situation. But in the end, she figured it out and we were able to get to sleep.

We went out with two missionaries from the Moscow mission. We challenged them to a few games of Rummikub and the beat us soundly. (Hurrah show) Elders! Meaning, "good job."

I am back on my low protein diet. My sister-in-law is also on the diet. She is down 6 and I'm down about 4, through the first week. It's a little hard for me this time in Moscow, because the beef, beyond hamburger, is pretty tough and doesn't have a lot of flavor. So you eat a lot of salads, pork chops and chicken and cheese!!

It's good to be home (in our apartment that is).
